Home. That’s what Jamie & Claire will find in Season 4 of Outlander. And if you have read the books, you know that home for them will be the breathtakingly wild and beautiful backcountry of North Carolina. Come along with Outlander North Carolina as we walk in the footsteps of Jamie & Claire on The Ridge. Discover mountain vistas, rocky creeks, and the very same sounds of nature Jamie & Claire experienced. Come along to a place where nature abounds with wild turkey, deer, bobcats, bears, coyotes, possums and yes, even the occasional skunk. Learn about 18th century life at the Ridge, tour historic mountain cabins, learn how to make goat soap and cheese plus see the method of drop spindle weaving. Have some of Rosamund Lindsay’s barbecue while enjoying lively local mountain music. Travel back in time with the Overmountain Men as they tell about their march through the backcountry to King’s Mountain. Could Jamie be with them in Book 9? Learn how Claire would have dressed on the Ridge and maybe even get to dress that way yourself. Celebrate the heritage of the mountains with a wild game dinner while being entertained by music and ballads followed by an evening of Celtic Fairy Tales and Ghost Stories. This and so much more will be awaiting you during this very special weekend! Outlander North Carolina is pleased to announce “A Fraser’s Ridge Homecoming” to be held Thursday, September 20 through Sunday September 23, 2018 at Leatherwood Mountains Resort located in Ferguson, North Carolina. Gosh, I wish I could be there. Sounds wonderful and warm and welcoming. All y’all will tell me everything, right?
Of course, Andy! Wish you could join us!!! Would love to meet you!
I’m so excited! I’ve been to Leatherwood several times-I’m a descendant of George Washington Hendrix who built the cabin near the entrance to the resort. Already made my cabin reservations!!
Way to go, Kathryn! Can’t wait to meet you!!!
I’m a local rabid fan. I volunteered to be a docent but I would be happy shoveling ditches to help with this event! How exciting!
Thank you, Jennifer! Will you be a docent at Whippoorwill?
